About Jennie

Hi, I’m Jennie—trained birth and postpartum doula, parent of six, and passionate Tucson childbirth educator. I’ve worked with families since 2008 and have served as a parent educator for more than 15 years. Every birth story I’ve witnessed has strengthened my belief that the birth of a family is one of the most awe-inspiring moments in life.

My “why” is simple: I want families to feel supported, informed, and empowered during this transformational season. Birth isn’t just physical—it’s emotional, relational, and deeply personal. Parents deserve someone in their corner who helps them feel steady and confident as they prepare.

That’s why I combine evidence based education with personal mentorship in every class. I take time to understand your questions, your hopes, and your concerns, and I guide you through tools and techniques that work for all types of birth—hospital, birth center, or home.

As a Tucson childbirth educator and Evidence Based Birth® Instructor, my goal is to help you approach birth feeling calm, capable, and ready for your baby’s arrival. You don’t have to do this alone. I’ll walk with you every step of the way.

How does the class work?

Each family watches the Evidence Based Birth® videos at their own pace, then meets with me live on Zoom for an orientation class and weekly check-ins. We finish with a comfort measures rehearsal, where you and your partner practice hands-on support techniques together. BONUS: Schedule (1) one-on-one meeting with me for additional support and birth or post-partum planning.

Can we join the class if we’re not in Tucson?

Yes, and I hope you do! Both the virtual group class and private virtual class work for families anywhere in the U.S. I teach parents from Arizona and all across the country.

What if we need a more flexible schedule?

You can choose a private class. We can meet at times that work best for you and review topics at your pace.

What is the comfort measures rehearsal?

This is a dedicated hands-on practice session for you and your partner. We walk through positions, movements, touch, and proven techniques for an optimal birth experience.

What if my due date is soon?

Choose the private option and we can meet more frequently to make sure you are well prepared in the time you have.

Do you offer in-person support?

Yes. Tucson families can choose the private signature class in-home. This includes teaching, rehearsals, and mentoring in the comfort of your home.

Do you offer any discounts?

Yes. I offer two community discounts to help make childbirth education more accessible:
Homebirth Discount: Families birthing with Wisdom Within or Well in the Desert Midwifery can enroll in my Signature Series for $275.
El Rio Discount: Patients of the El Rio Midwives can join my virtual Evidence Based Birth® group class for $150.
